Award-Winning Writer/Director Chris Jaymes has been active in the entertainment industry for nearly three decades, having worked as an actor, a writer, a director and producer, and is a member of the Capitol Records recording artist band, Bootstraps whose songs have been featured in Grey's Anatomy, Supergirl, the Power Rangers movie and the 2017 Olympics, amongst others. His acting credits include numerous network shows including the ABC hit series LOST, Party of Five, Chicago Hope, The Profiler, and a number of others. His feature film, directorial debut, In Memory of My Father, which he wrote, produced, and directed starring Judy Greer attained nearly 20 international awards and nominations including Best Picture at Santa Barbara International Film Festival and CineVegas, as well as others including Best Debut Feature and Best Director. He has since directed two feature films and a half-dozen TV shows, including Long Story Short with comedy legend Martin Short, Making A Scene with William Shatner, The Cottage starring David Arquette, Netflix Original Bad Samaritans, and a handful of others.Jaymes's original screenplay entitled Unconditional was acknowledged as a 2016 Semi-Finalist for the Academy of Arts and Sciences Nicholl Fellowship Award and is currently in development. His non-fiction book, Boxing Day was published in 2007 surrounding his experiences as an aid worker in the 2004 tsunami which devastated South East Asia and gives an honest account of the reality of the disaster relief and the lives that were affected. And, his research and footage of marine mammals, won the 2014 Michael Debakey Journalism Award, recognizing outstanding journalism that highlights the responsible use of animal models in recent medical discoveries and scientific breakthroughs.

There are echoes of "Les Miserables" here, as well as of the ancient Greek epics. I can't wait to share this rich, multi-layered epic with my teen age grandson who loves tales of action and adventure.
Beautifully produced tale of 19th century Greek revolutionary battles for revolution and freedom. Complex interwoven story line with relevance for today's world.Artwork and colors jump off pages. This book is a pleasure to read. Read it through in one shot. There is a grand scale to both story and images. Recommend it fully.

A beautifully made graphic novel. Gritty, intense and a really amazing read. Highly recommend if you like the 300.The graphics are stunning and the oversized format gives you an even bigger epic narrative to read.I didn't know much about the war for Greek independence, but this was a pretty big deal! It's bloody, graphic, but really thrilling. I couldn't put it down.
This was an amazing book that was filled with such beautiful images throughout the book. One of the things that I loved was the historical era that this portrayed. You really get drawn into the story from the very beginning and through the drama, action and adventure you grow to know and feel for the characters within the story. The characters band together for a common goal. This book is completely full of action and adventure and you will be taken in from beginning to end and you will not want to put it down.
